Mall Networks Hires Former Epiphany Executive Ron Barale as Vice President of Engineering
Industry veteran brings to Mall Networks more than 25 years of experience in developing CRM, analytics, knowledge management and SaaS products
LEXINGTON, Mass. - January 14, 2008- Mall Networks, the leading provider of merchant-funded loyalty shopping solutions, today announced that it has appointed Ron Barale vice president of engineering. Barale brings more than 25 years of experience in CRM, analytics, personalization, software-as-a-service (SaaS), and search to the Mall Networks senior management team. As vice president of engineering, Barale will be responsible for the company's technology strategy, product architecture, product development, quality assurance, and release management.

Barale was most recently the vice president of product development at Inquira, where he led engineering for its suite of search, knowledge management and web self-service products. Barale was formerly the senior vice president of product development for Epiphany, where he was responsible for developing the company's innovative suite of CRM products, including marketing automation, real-time offer optimization, call center applications and predictive analytics. Barale also held other key executive roles at Epiphany, including serving as senior vice president of customer management and education, where he was responsible for the worldwide operations of Epiphany's customer management and education organization. During Barale's tenure at Epiphany, the company's products powered strategic CRM and marketing initiatives at leading financial services, travel and hospitality companies, including Citibank, American Express, Washington Mutual, Wells Fargo, Charles Schwab, Hilton Hotels, MGM MIRAGE and Expedia.
Prior to Epiphany, Barale was vice president of product engineering and support at Red Brick Systems, a database and data warehouse technology developer acquired by IBM. At Red Brick, he ran worldwide operations of the development organization, customer support, and corporate MIS functions. Barale also held engineering management positions at Blue Roads Corp., a SaaS-based channel management platform, Compuware, and COMAC.
