Mall Networks Appoints Marc Caltabiano Vice President of Product Marketing and Management


Industry veteran from Siebel and KNOVA joins Mall Networks to direct product strategy for leading on-demand e-commerce and loyalty shopping platform


LEXINGTON, Mass. – July 24, 2007 – Mall Networks, the leading provider of online malls and loyalty shopping solutions, today announced that Marc Caltabiano has joined the company’s management team as vice president of product marketing and management. A respected industry veteran, Caltabiano brings to the Mall Networks senior management team more than 15 years of IT product management and product marketing experience in the CRM, self-service and enterprise search industries. He holds seven patents on search and knowledge management, and has several patents pending.

Caltabiano will be responsible for leading product strategy, product definition and product marketing for the company’s on-demand e-commerce and loyalty shopping platform. He will be based in Mall Networks’ Burlingame, Calif., office.

Prior to Mall Networks, Caltabiano spent four years at KNOVA Software as senior director of product management, guiding the company’s product and positioning strategy, product roadmap, product and release management, and providing marketing communications support. In this role, he helped grow the company’s revenue by more than 400 percent.

Before KNOVA, Caltabiano served as senior product manager at Siebel Systems, where he was responsible for all aspects of product management for Siebel’s Call Center and eService products, including product research and strategy, sales training and tools, and competitive analysis. Among his many successes at Siebel, Caltabiano was a key part of the team that vaulted Siebel’s Call Center and eService products into a market leadership position.

Caltabiano started his career with Disco Corporation, a leading Japanese semiconductor equipment manufacturer. Based in Tokyo, he led several IT and marketing initiatives leading to increased revenues, improved market share and reduced operational costs for Disco’s international operations. He also worked at Sun Microsystems, focusing on software product strategy. Caltabiano has a B.A. from Williams College and an MBA from the Haas School at the University of California at Berkeley.
