Sr. Systems Administrator/ Site & Feed Operations
Based in Lexington, Massachusetts, Mall Networks is the leading provider of online malls and loyalty shopping solutions that increase revenue strengthen customer loyalty and improve member engagement.
We're looking for a Sr Systems Administrator/Site & Feed Operations to actively manage Mall Networks hosted application solution. This individual will be responsible for managing the servers, network and the applications deployed for Mall Networks solution. DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITY
- Manage Mall Networks hosting environment using LAMP technology
- Manage the day to day technical operations tasks including the Mall Networks hosted web solution and the associated SLAs
- Operate and maintain feeds processing infrastructure including processing of jobs, secure transfer and storage, monitoring and SLAs
- Manage Mall Networks data center provider relationship
- Work with engineering to create a supportable, scalable and secure infrastructure.
- Effectively manage colleagues and counterparts and build successful relationships in Mall Networks as well as with external vendors/partners
- Write scripts to automate daily system administration tasks
- Work with data center provider for server build out and delivery
- Maintain packages necessary for application deployment
- Plan and manage any upgrades or migrations for application infrastructure
- Provide technical expertise in configuration and troubleshooting
- Participate in 24x7 support role for Linux Systems
- Support corporate initiatives such as PCI compliance and Disaster Recovery planning and testing
EDUCATIONAL / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- ( 6 ) years of experience in UNIX System Administration is required
- Experience monitoring and managing inbound and outbound product, transaction and/or data feeds is required
- In depth knowledge of LINUX is required
- In depth understanding of shell scripting is required
- In depth knowledge of server hardware and technologies is required
- Working knowledge of SQL
- Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes
- Experience establishing policies on system use and services
- Capable of independently managing a complex feeds environment
- Must demonstrate leadership skills, team-building skills, and the ability to motivate others (including colleagues who do not report directly to you)
- Dedicated to working hard as part of a dynamic group and as part of a team dedicated to success
- A degree in computer science, related field or equivalent work experience required
- Previous purchasing authority and responsibility a plus
- Experience managing on-demand, software-as-a-service (SaaS) and/or ASP-hosted software solutions is desired
- Experience managing large B2C websites and/or e-commerce sites is desired
