Search Experience Administrator
Responsibilities include:
- Defining, building and maintaining the categories and facets structure for products sold in the online mall so search quality is high
- Monitoring and testing search quality and refining it through improvements in the structure
- Coordinating with engineering on core search quality testing and tuning
- Tracking and incorporating best practices from other comparison shopping sites for product categories and facets
- Providing inputs into the search administration tool design
- Developing and improving processes for building and maintaining search taxonomies
- Coordinate with partners who provide product data information
- Perform manual testing of search related end user functionality
- When time permits, perform other manual tests as directed by the Director of QA.
Experience and Skills:
- Highly detail-minded and organized and gets enjoyment out of creating order out of large amounts of product information
- Ideal candidate has some experience and strong interest in ecommerce, search, or knowledge management
- Technical aptitude is preferred
- Experience working in or closely with software engineering departments is preferred
- College degree or equivalent experience required.
