Sales Director - Wilmington
OVERVIEW
The Sales Director at Mall Networks will be responsible for all aspects of securing new clients for this fast-growing, venture-backed loyalty marketing company. The ideal candidate is a high-energy, experienced sales leader with a strong track record of consultative selling and building successful sales teams. The position reports directly to the VP of Sales.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Sales Director will be responsible for all aspects of the selling process, from setting sales strategy through successful closing of new clients (excluding advertising sales). Mall Networks' potential clients are Fortune 100 banks, retailers and travel companies, so this person will need to be able to work effectively with these large, multi-layered organizations. He or she will also need to be expert in the use consultative selling to generate client enthusiasm for a complicated product. Finally, the Sales Director will work effectively and collaboratively with the other key functions within Mall Networks, including Marketing, Client Services, Technology and Merchant Services.
EXPERIENCE
Must have demonstrated history of success in:
- Selling complicated products/services to large organizations
- Building outstanding sales teams at loyalty services providers and/or financial services marketing
Strong preference for experience in:
- Early stage companies
- Internet-based businesses and partnerships
- Advertising agencies and/or internet advertising
- Financial services marketing
- Travel Loyalty
- Retail Loyalty
SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS
Must have:
- Ability to apply Mall Networks model to new and different client verticals
- Personal contacts in key verticals (financial services loyalty, travel loyalty, retail loyalty, etc.)
- Ability to conceive of alternate pricing models for different industries or in different competitive situations
- Strong technology skills
- Ability to work in a limited-resource environment and help the company make resource trade-offs as needed
- Demonstrated ability to manage constructive sales processes cross-functionally in an organization
- High level of energy
- Strong leadership, management and communication skills
